Dear Ice in Paradise Friends,

Ice in Paradise's utmost priority has always been and will continue to be the health and safety of its skaters, families, staff, volunteers, and community.  Our decision to postpone the Saturday, December 16, Holiday Show, Holidays Around the World: Olympic Style was due to the increased fire activity and freeway closure that took place the morning of our Holiday Show and we apologize for this inconvenience.

Ice in Paradise had scheduled another event Olympic Day, for Saturday, February 10, and planned to inform the public more about it in our printed Holiday Show Program.  This event was originally intended to celebrate the upcoming Winter Olympics to be held this February 2018 in PyeongChang, South Korea.   At this time, Ice in Paradise is happy to announce it has rescheduled its Holiday Show, Holidays Around the World: Olympic Style, to Saturday, February 10, at 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM (2 shows) and a "Meet and Greet" After Party following the 5:00PM show.

The United States Figure Skating Championships began today in San Jose, CA and will continue through January 7.  We encourage everyone to cheer for our champion figure skaters that traveled to Ice in Paradise to skate in our Holiday Show on December 16 and to watch them on NBC next weekend.  All of these skaters said they would come back to skate in a future show, however, many of these skaters are also competing to earn a spot on the United States Figure Skating Olympic Team and if they qualify, would not be able to participate in our show because the Olympics occur at the same time.  We wish them all the best at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and we will reschedule available champion skaters for our Saturday, February 10 show.

All tickets purchased for the December 16 shows apply to the same times as the Saturday, February 10 shows.  For example, if you have a ticket for the 12:00 PM show on Saturday, December 16 that same ticket will provide you the same seat for the 12:00 PM show on Saturday, February 10.  The same applies for tickets purchased for the 5:00 PM show and for the "Meet and Greet" After Party.

Ice in Paradise is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and our Holiday Show not only allows our skaters and community a fun way to celebrate the Holidays, it also provides revenue for the Ice in Paradise rink.   We thank you for your support of our Holiday Show and appreciate your loyalty to Ice in Paradise during this difficult time our community endured with the Thomas Fire.  Our skaters have worked long hours to prepare a wonderful show and we look forward to sharing a special day with you on Saturday, February 10.  We still have a limited amount of tickets available for both shows and if you are interested in purchasing tickets please contact the Ice in Paradise front desk or call 805-879-1550.

On behalf of Ice in Paradise, we would like to thank all of our First Responders and community partners who worked so hard to protect the health and safety of our community during the Thomas Fire.  Ice in Paradise will be inviting some of these First Responders and their families to our Holiday Shows on Saturday, February 10 to celebrate the Holidays a little later this year because many did not get the time to truly enjoy the spirit and togetherness the Holidays bring.  We hope our Holiday Show and "Meet and Greet" After Party will provide a unique opportunity for all of us to celebrate the Holidays a little later this year while enjoying the magic and excitement of the 2018 Winter Olympics.

We look forward to seeing you soon and wish you and your family a Happy and safe New Year!  Cheers!
